Ishibotoke, Usuki

It is said that the national treasure Usuki Stone Buddha (Cliff Buddha), represented by the statue of the ancient stone Buddha Dainichi Nyorai, was carved from the late Heian period to the Kamakura period. I don't know exactly who built it for what purpose, and it is still engulfed in many mysteries.
It is a group of stone Buddhas representing Japan in its scale and quantity, and in the high quality of sculpture.
There are seasonal flowers in the adjacent Stone Buddha Park. Above all, from July to August, large lotus flowers are in full bloom, and the appearance is just like a paradise land.
