Beppu Ropeway

Ropeway that can be enjoyed every season
Spring
The park at the foot of the mountain, at an altitude of about 500m, is a famous spot for cherry blossoms, with Yoshino cherry trees and others blooming.
Subsequently, wild Yamazakura blooms on the hillside of Tsurumidake from the foot of the mountain to an altitude of about 1,000m, and proceeds to the flowering of Mamezakura, which is rare on the mountain in late April.
The best time to see each year: Mid-May to early June
Miyamakirishima is a type of azalea that grows naturally on plateaus in various Kyushu and is designated as a natural monument.
Along the promenade from around Tsurumi Sanjo Station to the summit, there are 5,000 trees growing around the mountain area, and at the best time, a wonderful sight where the Yamaichi surface is dyed pink spreads.
Summer
The area around the summit, which is about 10 ° C lower than the flatland, is recommended for summer vacation.

Autumn
The autumn leaves seen from the gondola are very beautiful with red and yellow.

Winter
In the mountain area at an altitude of 1,300m, you can see the silver world of rime, which is rare in Kyushu, if conditions such as temperature, humidity, and wind are met.
