Takegawara Onsen

Takegawara Onsen| Grand Mercure Beppu Bay Resort & Spa [Official]

Takegawara Onsen is derived from the name "Takegawara" because it was built in 1879 when it was rebuilt in 1938 with a "tiled" roof.
The current building was built in 1938 (1938), and the front is a hot spring with a luxurious roof of Tang gable (karahafu-zukuri), and its exterior is a symbol of Beppu Onsen.
The high ceiling lobby retains the image of the early Showa era, making it a space where you can relax after taking a bath. The famous sand bath wears a yukata and lies on the sand, and the sandkake-san pours the sand warmed in the hot spring.
