The Tour of Hell | Grand Mercure Beppu Bay Resort & Spa

Hell Tour

The journey begins with Beppu's specialty "Hell Tour". A tour of hell around seven hot springs, including Kaijigoku and Blood Pond Hell. Fountains, hot mud, and hot water erupt from deep underground are truly hell.

After check-in, go to the all-inclusive lounge. At Evening Social from 15:00, we offer sweets and snacks unique to Beppu, such as alcohol, soft drinks, "Zabon Pickled" and "Kabosu Peel".

In summer, go to the garden pool. There is also a space (35cm depth) where infants can play in the water. Please spend a time intoxicated by the "luxury without doing anything" unique to the resort pool.

Jigokumushi Art Studio Kannawa

A 15-minute drive from the hotel, go to the outdoor theme park "Harmony Land" in Sanrio. This hotel is also the only official hotel in Harmony Land. Please enjoy greetings and shows with Sanrio characters to your heart's content. You can experience the traditional cooking method "Hell Steamed Cooking" that has been used since the Edo period with iron rings using hot spring fountains of 98 degrees Celsius and 100% geothermal energy.

Yukemuri Observation Deck

An observation deck overlooking the scenery, the steaming iron ring, the magnificent Tsurumidake, Ougiyama, which changes color in various ways depending on the season. At the end of the trip, enjoy the superb view unique to Beppu.
