Why don't you make an original Christmas wreath by knitting a rare "Shichitooi" from Oita Kunisaki Peninsula in Onsen Prefecture?
If you change the decoration at the end of the year, you can also arrange it on the New Year's decoration shime rope, so you can use it for a long time.
On the day of the workshop, we will produce it with the guidance of the instructor from Kitsuki Nanashima Rumeister Club.

What is Nanashima Rushi?
Shichitooi is a plant that is used as a material for tatami mats as well as Igusa.
Because it grows densely, it cannot be mechanized, and hand-planting and hand-cutting are basic.
Nanashima rush, which has been cultivated in Ryukyu (Okinawa) and the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima for about 360 years.
Eventually, it was introduced nationwide, including Oita, but gradually the number of creators decreased.
Now, only Kunisaki in Oita Prefecture, it is made by only seven farmers.

Decorations are made using fresh herbs and nuts in nature.
